Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HVAC Service Technician with strong experience in commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This role involves hands-on service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of chillers, DX systems, hot water systems, cooling towers, VFDs, and VRV/VRF (Daikin preferred) across a multi-state Midwest territory.
This is a high-demand field service role for a technician who enjoys independent work, complex problem-solving, and working with advanced HVAC technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial & industrial HVAC systems
(chillers, DX, hot water, cooling towers, fan systems, VFDs, low-voltage controls)
- Perform start-ups, commissioning, inspections, and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in the field
- Provide technical support and training to customers and team members
- Maintain accurate service documentation using digital tools (laptop/mobile systems)
- Travel throughout the assigned Midwest territory (IA, IL, MO, MN)
Requirements

5+ years of HVAC service experience in commercial or industrial environments
- Strong expertise in DX systems, hot water systems, chillers, and VRV/VRF systems
- EPA Certification + valid HVAC license required
- Experience with refrigeration systems and low-voltage controls
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces
Preferred Skills
- Daikin VRV/VRF experience or training
- VFD and industrial refrigeration experience
- Technical HVAC education or advanced certifications
- Large-scale commercial or industrial facility experience
