HVAC Service Technician

Growing, family-owned HVAC company seeking a motivated HVAC Service Technician to join our team. We are looking for an eager, driven individual with residential HVAC service experience who wants to learn, grow, and advance with our organization.

This position offers the opportunity to perform your own service calls while also working closely with our Senior HVAC Technician on larger repairs and complex diagnostic projects.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems.

• Perform preventative maintenance on residential HVAC equipment.

• Complete assigned service calls independently.

• Assist Senior HVAC Technicians with major repairs and complex diagnostics.

• Educate customers on repair options and system performance.

• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

• Travel to customer locations within approximately a 40-mile radius of Metuchen, NJ using a company-provided vehicle.

• Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer experience at every service call.

• Assist with light commercial HVAC service when needed.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 2 years of residential HVAC service experience.

• Experience servicing and troubleshooting Central Air Conditioning and Gas Furnace systems.

• Ability to diagnose:

  • Refrigerant-related issues

  • Gas and burner-related problems

  • Electrical and control system failures

  • Power supply and wiring issues

• Basic sheet metal experience or willingness to learn.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

• Fluent English communication skills.

• Professional appearance and respectful attitude.

Preferred

• Installation experience.

• Light commercial HVAC service experience.

• EPA Certification.

• ServiceTitan experience.

• Russian-speaking ability.
